City of LA and the Battleship USS Iowa paid tribute to Veterans
The Second Annual Veterans Appreciation Festival was held Saturday, November 9th, to show appreciation for our nation’s veterans and active military. The festival was free to the whole family and included free tours to veterans and active military members. There was plenty of food, music, activities for the kids and guest speakers, including Councilman Joe Buscaino, Pacific Battleship Center president Jonathan Williams, Iowa Veterans Association president David Canfield, and about a few veterans. There was also a resource fair to provide information on housing, jobs and healthcare.
The festival was held on Saturday, 11/9/13, from 10AM to 4PM.
